The mission of St. Mark's Episcopal Church is:
- To support the needs of those who seek to know and serve God as expressed in the Episcopal tradition of worship.
- To serve God by being actively responsible for the well-being of the Community.
- To invite and welcome all into the joy of our Christian family.
Everyone who enters our doors is believed to be a unique individual sent by God who will enrich our lives... regardless of your past experience, regardless of the questions you may have about God and His role in today's world or His role in your everyday life.
We believe that how kindly we treat others and how gently we treat ourselves is the foundation for creating "a little bit of heaven" right here on earth.
Many of our parishioners have come from other faiths and have found a comfortable place here. Several of our "transferees" seek out the Episcopal Church because it is the faith they grew up in and they enjoy its theology. "You can be who you are. There is no guilt." Others have said St. Mark's is "warm and friendly. This church has a sense of humor." We do serious work here, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
